First Halal-friendly hotel opens in Bangkok to widen Thai tourism industry

Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul chaired a grand opening ceremony for Al Meroz Hotel which has been operating as Bangkok’s first leading Halal hotel with a clear vision to provide Muslim and non-Muslim guests with the best tradition of the Islamic way of living.

Mrs.Kobkarn said Al Meroz Hotel can help with Thailand’s economic stimulus measure as it promotes the country as a quality leisure destination as well as the dream place for everyone. Remarkably, it is a Muslim-friendly destination with a Muslim application for Muslim customers.

Mr.Rausak Mulsap, President and CEO of Al Meroz Hotel, said that this is a unique hotel in the history of Thai tourism which will play a major role in helping the Tourism Authority of Thailand achieve its objective by positioning Thailand as a Muslim-friendly destination. He added that the four-star hotel will help attract leisure and business travelers and serve as a venue for meetings, incentives and convention delegates from the Islamic world.
